January 21, 2022: Data intelligence company, SmartHelio, has announced today its certification as a registered B Corp.
B Corps are an international community of companies who are using business as a force for good. After a rigorous evaluation by independent organization, Smarthelio obtains the B Corp certification with a score of 116,8 points out of 200. With this certification, SmartHelio demonstrates its commitment, beyond profit, to meeting the highest social and environmental standards.
The B Corp Certification is involved at all levels of the company and covers five key impact areas of Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers. The certification process is rigorous. To be certified, a company must achieve a minimum score of 80 points on the B Impact Assessment and provide evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices – including energy supplies, waste and water use, worker compensation, diversity and corporate transparency. Another requirement for B Corp certification is the bylaw change: The company must state its commitment to purpose beyond profit in their company statutes .
SmartHelio is now part of a community of over 45000+ businesses globally who have certified as B Corp. The recent investment from the world’s most renowned startup investor Y Combinator, has poised SmartHelio to become a disruptive technology for the clean tech industry.
