Lausanne, Switzerland—Oct 05, 2024—SmartHelio appointed Shankaransh Srivastava as its Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer.

“Shankaransh is one of the people who played various roles in the team even before the inception of SmartHelio. He is deeply vested in our technology, ensuring it serves our customers extremely well. We are very excited for Shankaransh to take us to the next level,” said Govinda Upadhyay, SmartHelio’s Founder & CEO.

Shankaransh will continue to be responsible for all the company’s worldwide client deliveries and will continue to lead the company’s Customer Success Division. In addition, he will work closely with Govinda and the executive team to lead SmartHelio’s overall business.

Shankaransh’s background

“Coming from a family working in thermal power plants, I saw the impact on climate change firsthand. When I decided to pursue engineering, it was clear that I would help fight climate change. Over a decade back, I started my journey in the USA providing turnkey solar PV installation and asset management solutions. The most exciting part of my job became the customer’s satisfaction from their reduced electricity bills and their pride in helping fight climate change. Finding my happiness in customer’s happiness came very naturally to me, it became my driving force to keep contributing to the renewable energy industry.” 

“In the past year, our company has seen exponential growth in the number of clients, and our team size has doubled. We’ve also expanded into five more countries. Customers are driving our product growth by contributing more use cases, which has led us to launch two new business models. We’re also exploring more disruptive models to stay ahead. There’s a lot going on in operations, and we need this mesh of gears to function efficiently and profitably. I’m excited to take on this new challenge,” said Shankaransh Srivastava.
